Being positive in life may be one of the most challenging, yet rewarding things a person could do. I want you to think about something for a minute; today will never come again. Sure, there are plenty more days to come, but why waste one? Why fill it with hours of negativity and pessimistic thoughts when you couldn't be making memories and sharing happy thoughts? Be a friend to someone you love. Encourage someone who is down. Be a blessing to someone in need.

Dear future self,

I'm writing this in my room that's still covered with floral bunting that looks like it belongs to a six year-old. I have too many clothes, too many books, and yet not enough.
I hope that wherever you are right now in your life, that you are happy and healthy; those are the two most important things.
